"Do Not Judge!!!"

From time to time, I get negative feed back regarding this site. That is fine. I am willing to expect this at times. I appreciate the fact that people have a right to their opinions, as I have a right to mine. I welcome all kinds of feed back, the good, the bad, and the ugly (and the plain bizarre!)! However, ones such as "U R a Loser" (an actual email!) are just not worthy of an intelligent response! Neither will I reply to threatening emails (they are simply deleted and ignored). However, I felt that an email I received recently was worthy of actually putting on the site itself for others who may have the same opinion to read. This is a common type of email I receive on the theme of 'why are you judging everyone', what makes you so right?' 'you are filled with hate.' etc. I have reproduced the email below along with my response to it underneath. I have also felt it may be helpful to the sender of this email as when I sent my response back to them, it came bouncing back at me.

I think this is a really sick and hateful site. Obviously you have nothing better to do than to JUDGE others. What did the savior say about removing the mote from thine own eye ? Why is everyone else wrong and you are right ? Did the Lord not say JUDGE NOT lest you be judged (you will be judged by the same standard (of love or not) as you have judged others. Do you think God has no mind ? Do you think he likes what you are doing, NO, God is love. People who are genuinely concerned about others being saved promote love, not this sort of thing. I question your agenda, how could you be so filled with hate, possibly you are possessed. You open yourself to Satan influence when you are hateful, where does that leave you ? You are as those who gave the Savior vinegar to drink when he was on the cross. Heal thyself of bitterness by humble prayer on thy knees asking God's forgiveness. The Savior said what you have done unto others you have done unto me. He loves all people of every religion. He will sort out the true believers, this is not your calling to judge the world. The spotlight has turned on you!

Hi Avis, Thanks for the email. I have carefully read what you have said, and appreciate your opinion and having your say. I welcome all different kinds of feedback about my site. Therefore, I would please ask you to hear me out in return. Thanks.

I am not filled with hate at all. In fact the reason I do what I do on the internet with my site, is because I am genuinely concerned for those whom I see have gotten involved in deception. If you saw someone in danger, say someone was trapped in a house fire or something, you would want to help them if you had love for them wouldn't you? Sure you would, as you seem like someone who feels passionately about people. Well the same is true for those who are in spiritual danger. In fact the danger is greater because their eternal destinies are at stake. Jesus Himself, as one who loved greatly, warned people against the false religious practices, traditions, and attitudes of the Pharisees, did He not? Also the Apostle Paul wrote the book of Galatians against the Judiazers, he wrote Colossians against early Gnosticism (an early heresy), and he wrote 1 John against an early pseudo Christian false group called Docetists (who denied the bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus). With this in view, are we to conclude that Jesus and Paul were filled with hate? Certainly no. On the contrary, they loved the people enough to tell them that there was error about and that it was harmful to people's spiritual lives. This is all I am doing.

When Jesus said "Do not judge" in Matthew Chapter 7 what did He mean? A lot of people tend to interpret this as never saying anything critical against anyone or anything. But if this was the case then why did He warn us to look out for false prophets in verse 15? If Jesus meant not to say anything bad about anything or anyone (which those who quote "do not judge" usually mean) than He would have contradicted Himself in verses 15-23 when He told us to look out for the false prophets. Of course, Jesus never contradicts Himself so what did He mean by "judge not"? Clearly, He must have therefore meant, not using 'unfair' judgment. We clearly need to be discerning, otherwise believers will be led astray by false prophets and all kinds of harmful influences.

I agree that Jesus loves all people of every religion. However, we have to ask ourselves, is the religion actually true? The members of the Flat Earth Society (an actual organization!) really believe that the earth is flat, but that doesn't make their belief true does it? God even loves the Satanist even though they may be involved in child sacrifice. He hates what they do, but He is even willing to forgive such evil individuals if they truly humble themselves and repent and turn to Him. But this does not make the fact of what they do true does it? Satanism is an evil false system which needs to be exposed.

Please feel free to write back. I am happy to continue this conversation.

May the Lord Jesus bless you richly and shine His love warmly upon you,
Your servant in His name, Vince
